Her motivation to provide plus sizes and a full range of lingerie is bourn out of a personal battle to find attractive and comfortable underwear that fits well:

"I personally have always struggled to find choice as I’m not an ‘off-the-peg’ size. For years I’ve searched for good quality underwear with nice designs and I wanted to be given options… what a struggle!"

Mission Statement

Shirley’s aim was initially to offer choice to other women who have difficulty finding fun, attractive and glamorous lingerie in larger sizes that is of good quality and fits well.

As the business grew, Shirley wanted to extend those services to all women needing specialist services, such as nursing (maternity) or pocketed (mastectomy) bras, control wear, or additional garments, such as hosiery and nightwear.

Buying policy

Shirley always checks her suppliers offer a full size range and usually they do. Only occasionally do we get a bra that stops at a DD, which is because of its design, but most often we hope to supply you with exactly the lingerie you desire.

Shirley offers an exceptionally high level of customer service and is pleased to offer fitting and troubleshooting advice and can help with any purchase you're looking to make, whether you're buying for yourself or someone else.

Her charming store in Windermere is stripped back to its original 1800s décor and has an easy-going, calming atmosphere with no pressure to buy. Products are stored in well-ordered and accessible units, so that you can comfortably browse styles and find your size.
